Is a skateboard deck included with the kit?
No, the Lightwheel kit does not include a skateboard deck. The whole concept behind Lightwheel is to upcycle your own board. Whether it's an old deck, a broken skateboard (using the duo or single kit), or even a collector board you'd like to display in a new eye-catching way.
Will this work with any skateboard deck?
Yes! Our kit works with skateboard decks that have the typical 8-hole pattern for trucks. For Longboards please contact us to get a custom made kit at no additional costs.
Is it really only 5 minutes to install?
Absolutely! Once you remove the wheels and trucks, our kit uses the existing holes in your deck. Simply insert the cables through the holes, mount it, and plug it in. No drilling required.
Will it damage my skateboard deck?
Not at all ! No drilling is required. You can easily remove the kit and reuse your board as normal. The installation is completely reversible.
Are the LED lights safe and energy efficient?
Yes, our LEDs are energy-efficient, and generate minimal heat. They're completely safe to touch and use only a fraction of the energy of traditional bulbs while lasting 50,000+ hours.
